Director, Chief Executive Officer - Dr Harry Randhawa

Dr Harry Randhawa MB BS LLB/LP

Dr Harry Randhawa is passionate about developing thriving regional communities through the delivery of exceptional services that meet local needs and delivered within the framework that respects cultures and relationships. Harry grew up in Adelaide and started his career as a medical practitioner after completing his studies at Flinders University. Harry worked as a GP in rural NSW in the 90’s which is where he developed a passion for leadership in regional communities. Harry then completed a Laws degree at Flinders University in 2003. Harry has since worked in a number of executive management roles throughout Australia delivering services to vulnerable and disadvantaged clients. Harry recognizes the importance of providing integrated, quality social and education services to the development of strong inclusive and diverse communities.

Peter Hollister – GAICD, B.Sc. (Hons I) Maths, MBA

Peter is passionate about applying strategic thinking to organisational planning and behaviour, to ensure effective use of resources and achievement of goals to benefit the community. This passion has been a fundamental element of his 17 years of executive level experience in State Government. He has recently concluded a 5 year role as Board Chair of a not-for-profit organisation. Peter’s qualifications include a B.Sc. (Hons I) Maths, an MBA, a Graduate of the AICD, a Graduate of the Governor’s Leadership Foundation (GLF2011) and a Cert II in Lay Preaching.

Fiona Duffield 

Fiona Duffield has blended careers in Distance Education and Residential Real Estate with a strong commitment to those among us in need of compassion and practical support. Fiona is a long term member of St Vincent de Paul, having previously been a volunteer and Management Committee member at the Vincentian Centre for Homeless Men. She currently volunteers with Fred’s Van in Port Pirie. Fiona is passionate in advocating for families in remote and rural locations to ensure equity of services and quality support for all.

Jo Court – BA Commerce, Adv Dip Financial Services, CPA

 

Jo is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) with over 23 years experience in finance, especially in business management and financial planning.   Jo is currently the Business Manager at St Mark’s College Port Pirie and has over 10yrs experience in senior management.  Jo has a very good understanding of both government and commercial finance, and has served on several local Boards.  She is also well experienced within the Pirie Region working with small businesses and individuals to meet their financial goals.  Jo believes that good financial education and communication is the key to good governance and better business.  She is passionate about helping in her community work toward a better financial future.

Director - Chez Curnow

Chez Curnow

Chez is currently the Manager of Mental Health and Alcohol and other Drugs at Country SA PHN, and is responsible for the commissioning, service design and contract management of these services for 98% of the state’s geographical area.

Chez was recently appointed to the South Australian Premiers Council on Suicide Prevention and is leading one of the 12 National Suicide Prevention Trials. Chez is a LifeinMind Champion, advising on the National Communications Charter – Mental Health and Suicide Prevention and a member of the National PHN Lived Experience Engagement Network. She is a parliamentary representative on a Health Advisory Council within SA health and has previously worked across the sector in primary and acute settings in both prevention and postvention services.

Chez is a passionate advocate for equity in access for regional, rural and remote communities and ensuring those services have a sound evidence base and follow best practise guidelines.

Director - Paul Thomas

Paul Thomas AM

Paul is a current member of the Uniting Church, worshiping at Kadina. He is a Member of the Order of Australia, has been involved with community service and in particular Rotary for more than 34 years. He brings extensive governance and leadership positions which includes:

  • Serving on the on the Copper Coast district Council for 28 years, 18 of those as Mayor.
  • Serving as member of the Northern Yorke Peninsula Health Service for 18 years, of which 10 years was as Chair.
  • As a Director of Yorke Mid North Regional Development Australia Board.
  • Rotary District 9510 Governor.

Director - Kym Thomas

Kym is a funded researcher with Adelaide Rural Clinical School, The University of Adelaide.

Kym began his University career  with the Spencer Gulf Rural Health School in 2002, now the Adelaide Rural Clinical School. Kym has served as the Aboriginal EngagementCoordinator, Aboriginal Project Officer, Coordinator Aboriginal Health, Acting Head of Aboriginal Health, Head of Aboriginal Health, and Associate Lecture during tenure within the University sector.

Kym is currently the CI for the research project, Recent and Future Changes in Home Care and the Unique Challenges Associated with Service Delivery for Aboriginal People. The research aimed to assess the effectiveness of Australian Government funded home aged care services delivered to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living in rural and remote South Australia.

Kym has an extensive working history within the University sector, for initiating and managing collaborative partnerships and projects which contribute to the overall Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research, Education, Recruitment Strategy at The University of Adelaide. This includes the engagement with schools, colleges, universities, industry, government and community stakeholders in particular, Aboriginal communities and organisations that provide services for Aboriginal people.

Kym is currently chairperson for Nukunu Wapma Thura Aboriginal Corporation, which has over one hundred and thirty members Chairperson Community Reference Group - South Australian Aboriginal Chronic Disease Consortium SAHMRI. Chairperson National Indigenous Suicide Prevention Trial, Country SA PHN. RACGP National Faculty of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander Health Education Committee member. 

Kym was a former director and chairperson for Pika Wiya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation.

Kym has developed collaborative partnerships with many Aboriginal Health services and organisations within the region. Pika Wiya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation, Port Augusta. Port Pirie, Aboriginal Health Northern, Community and Allied Health, Yorke and Northern Local Health Network.

Libby Craft  

Libby has a passion for social justice, excellent service provision and making a positive difference. She has over 35 years experience in human services ranging from policy, direct service delivery, advocacy and management across government and community based organisations. Libby is a skilled executive in the South Australian not-for-profit sector. Libby has held positions as the  Chief Executive Officer of Community Support Inc and the former CEO at UnitingSA, a large NFP that delivers social, community, aged care, disability and housing services. Libby has a Social Work Degree (First Class Hons), a Masters of Business Administration (MBA,) qualifications in Executive Leadership and Management from Stanford and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD.) She brings a wealth of experience and commitment to the Board.
