This investigation of the effects of pastoral care workers on student wellbeing in regional and metropolitan schools was conducted by Centre for Social Impact, Flinders University researchers (formally at UniSA) in partnership with the SA Department for Education. Using mixed methods, the study explored the ways in which the National School Chaplaincy Program affects student wellbeing in South Australian regional and metropolitan government schools. The study provides recommendations for providers, school leadership teams and government agencies.
