The Reconnect program provides an early intervention service to youth at risk of, or experiencing homelessness and their families. The Reconnect program provides support and intervention to the target group to improve linkages with family, employment, education, training and the community.

How can Reconnect help my family?

We are an early intervention service, using a community based one-on-one approach to assist young people aged 12 -18 to prevent homelessness. We assist young people and their families to improve their relationship and build better connections with education, training, employment, and their community.

The Reconnect Program support families and young people by providing parenting advice, counselling, meditation, and family reconciliation whenever possible.

Planet Youth Program

Uniting Country SA is partnering with Planet Youth and the Alcohol and Drug Foundation to improve the well-being and reducing rates of alcohol and other drug use among young people in Port Pirie.
The Haven - Port Pirie

The Haven is a free and confidential service providing information and referrals to women in Port Pirie. The Haven is located at the Port Pirie Community Centre 28 Symonds Street, Risdon Park. This service is funded by the Women's Information Service
Healthy Relationships

This program is based in Port Augusta to encourage and grow healthy and respectful relationships in the community funded by The National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA).

Service to Aboriginal Youth (STAY)

The Service to Aboriginal Youth (STAY) program assists young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people between the ages 10 and 19 access services and find the guidance they need to achieve their goals and strengthen their cultural and community connections

Itchy Emu

Uniting Country SA's Itchy Emu program is helping tackle the age old problem of Head Lice. The Itchy Emu program available as a free, non-judgmental treatment and education aimed at giving children, parents and families the information to treat their own hair.
Strengthening Separated Families

Uniting Country SA's Strengthening Separated Families (SSF) program provides support to individuals and families with children and adolescents to navigate their way through various separation circumstances. Support is available through individual case management, counselling and group work to help people focus on the needs of their children during this time and manage separation in a healthy way.
Community FoodHub

Uniting Country SA's Community FoodHub provides community members with access to low cost nutritious food in a bid to improve food security in the region. This service is only available in Port Pirie
