Port Augusta and Amity Youth Homelessness Service provides support and advice to young people experiencing homelessness or at significant risk of being homeless. The service supports individuals between the ages of 15-25 who are struggling to maintain appropriate and safe accommodation.

Port Augusta and Amity Youth Homelessness Service provide emergency accommodation if a young person has been assessed to meet the criteria along with an outreach service to help maintain and support young people once they acquire housing.

How do these programs work?

These services provide case management support to young people at risk or experiencing homelessness by assisting with accommodation, independent living skills, support, advocacy, and an outreach service to clients that meet the criteria. Young people between the age of 15 - 25 can access the service providing that they meet the criteria of being homeless or at risk of being homeless.

Anyone can refer to the service including young people themselves. An initial assessment will be completed by the staff in conjunction with the young person and when required their family.

Referrals are also accepted by other agencies that work or come across young people who meet the criteria.
